Stop Climate Change Now!

             

Climate change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns when that change lasts for an extended period of time. It may refer to a change in average weather conditions, or in the time variation of weather around longer-term average conditions. Certain human activities have been identified as significant caused of recent climate change.

          Nowadays, climate change is the biggest problem of the human being. It is already happening and represents one of the greatest environmental, social and economic threats facing the planet. The climate can affect every person and our health directly through increases in temperature. Such increases may lead to more extreme heat waves during the summer while producing less extreme cold spells during the winter. There are so many factories that exhale really destructive substances and pollute the air. We all know very well that air is something we can’t live without. When we breathe the polluted air, we can get seriously ill. We cannot escape from the polluted air-its everywhere, even in our homes and we are breathing it non-stop because also of our dangerous activities like burning of plastics.

          As a conclusion, I think it’s not still too late for us to take an action. The climate change is a very important thing and if we don’t stop the changes soon, we will suffer and also the nature. Let us stop the changes in climate and also stop the human activities that cause it. I believe harmony between nature and human beings will return.

"Outpouring Hearts and Minds Through Literacy and English Proficiency"

            

                In our lives, English become part of our daily lives. English is also known as our universal language. It is not only about language but English have many divisions that are really helpful in our life. But the most important think about English is that we have a power to connect to one another.

          There is always a month for English and we celebrate this English Month Celebration to know the importance and role of English and also to enhance our ability, skills and knowledge towards English. What is the thing that we must remember if we do a thing to make it better? Well, we must outpour our hearts and minds so that the result will be better than you expected. We must use English language in a good way. We must not us it just for fun, for bullying and for nonsense things or matter. It’s not only about language but also in Literacy and English Proficiency. Literacy is the ability to write and read. This is very important thing in our life with this literacy we will be able to express our opinions towards a certain thing. English Proficiency, we must be proficient towards English.

          Different activities and contests are held during English Month Celebration. With these activities or contests we must join some of them. For us to find out more the role or importance of English.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

                Discrimination towards women is one of the most pervasive human rights violations. It severely limits the ability of women or girls and the communities they live in.

          Gender-based discrimination is irrevocably connected to negative outcomes. We should be treated similarly. There is no difference between boys and girls. We must not put down others because we are all born equal. There is no rich and poor. There is no boundary between others. We must respect others by what and who they are. Now, we all know that women can also do the works of boys. Most of those works are intended for boys because most of those are heavy works. But women can also do it and they want to prove that women and men are equal. We must break the barrier that separates the equal rights and equal opportunities for boys and girls.

          Let us bear in our mind that we are all equal, and we have all equal rights and equal opportunities. In the eye of our God, we are all equal to Him and with this way; we will have peace in our mind and heart.

Second Quarter

Starting all over again is not that bad because when you restart you get another chance to make things right. Chances are there not to just correct your mistakes, but to determine worth.

          Second Quarter was again ended. And for that I have learned again many new things in our different lessons. One of these subjects that I’ve gain knowledge is our ICT subject. Our lesson for this quarter is HTML Tags. We had done 11 activities in all. At first I thought it was difficult to do these activities but when I came to do it, I find it easy. I find it also interesting in doing this. We also had our posts in our Blog. For this quarter, I think I improve better with my posts. I was able to insert images to it because in the First Quarter I don’t know how to insert image in my post. Well, it is also because it’s my first time with this social website. I was able also to change the designs of my Blog. In all, I am very happy because I did my best this quarter. Next quarter is coming again…

So, when you got more opportunity to utilize your skills after one failure, you must do advance and better than before. So always have the passion for self-improvement. Try to learn new things every day.

Intramurals 2014

                 

Intramurals exists or occurs within a particular group or organization such as a school. We celebrated our Intramurals last September 18-19. With this celebration, different booths were also provided. For you, what is the essence in celebrating the Intramurals?

            The first day of our Intramurals was held inside the Gymnasium. Before that the athletes and the representatives for each level have their parade and they went inside the Gymnasium. The parade was started for about 3:00 in the afternoon. During the opening program, some of the students performed their intermission number. They are very good in dancing and I saw that they really prepared for that. After the opening program, all of the students were allowed to go home. September 19, second day of our Intramurals. I wasn’t able to go because I attend the burial of my grandfather. It rained also in the afternoon so I wasn’t able to go again. So, this year I wasn’t able to attend the Intramurals. I asked my friend about the Intramurals and she said that some booths were provided like the marriage booth, horror booth, and movie booth. And because of the rain, it was postponed the other week. She also told me about the happenings during the Intramurals.

            Celebrating this Intramurals is important especially for us students who wants to participate in different sports you want. This will also enhance and improve your skills towards that certain sport. Not only the athletes should participate with this but all of us students must also participate to be involve in this and also to support others.

MY TEACHER, MY HERO!

               

               Do you know that heroes don’t always dress in a superhero suit? A hero can wear anything and they can be as simple as we are. Everyone can be a hero, not necessarily save lives but we can be heroes on our own way. But did you know that heroes are everyone? I found my heroes and they are teachers.

            When we are talking about teachers, all of us are glad to thank them especially when you’ve learned a lot of great lessons from them. But we can never regret that sometimes we hate them because they are giving us a lot of home works and projects which are so difficult for us to do, right? Well, it’s a part of being a student. We students sometimes don’t appreciate our teachers, right? Well, we couldn’t realize that teachers are great; they are really great and awesome. They teach us in all ways, guide us through different challenges. Their patience is so unbelievable, for us students even though are so naughty and act so childishly they still forgive us. They also act like our light when we we’re on darkness. They teach us very well and give us enough knowledge about things we don’t know yet. We students must love and respect our teachers, we can never regret that their part of our life already.

            In life, people may come and go, some will be remembered and some will be forgotten. But one thing I am sure of, you can never forget the persons who you can also call as your second parents, the teachers. Thank you for all my teachers for being my hero in life, who save us from any circumstances that we may step on.

IMMUNIZATION

           

           Science is a systematized body of knowledge. There were many such things that we can do about it. Since it has been exposed and it becomes a part of our life we are now used to it. However, Science almost covers everything that happens to us. Science is involved in everything.

          In our scenario, there are many problems that are affecting our health. And most likely is the pollution whi9ch are the water pollution and air pollution. The rivers, lakes, oceans, and other bodies of water are now polluted. This is because of some chemical
wastes from factories and mostly is the garbage. The air that we breathe is not totally a pure fresh air. This is also because of the factories and vehicles that bring out black and dirty smoke that is not good to our health. The burning of plastics is not also good to our health. These are just some of the problems that are causing health problems.

"Don't put off ypur healthy life"

          All of these problems are necessary to be solved as soon as possible. Let’s take a move and do the right action for these. Let’s consume our time to the most vital things. We can do simple things to lessen these problems. One of these is the utilization of our garbage through the 3R’s (reuse, reduce, & recycle). For this simple thing, contributes a lot to our health.

SUPER MOTHER

       

"She is the best mother!"

          If you will ask anyone what they know about heroes, what would be their common answer? Some would rather answer about the heroes in the movies that they had already watched like Spiderman, Batman, Superman, and many more. These heroes have super powers or they have the ability to save people from harm or danger. For me, these are not true to life they are just fictional characters. But there is this true hero that I admire and treasure even she doesn’t have super powers she is always there for me.

            My mother is the one whom I considered a true hero. Back when I was a child, she had done a lot to me. She’s the one who carried me when I cried until I fell asleep. She always assured that I’m in a good health. Some in my elementary days, she was the one who pinned my ribbons and she was very proud to me. I said some because she was going to abroad and sometimes she had her vacation. Now, she is in Dubai as an OFW in order to support us and for us to have an education and to have a better future. I know that her work there in abroad is very hard but still she can manage it. She had done many sacrifices in order to fulfil our needs. Even though she is far from me, she is always there for me. She care and protect me in her own way. I thanked my mother for everything, for her love, care, and affection to me and for being who and what I am today. Because of my mother I become a better person.

            For me, my mother is the best mom in the whole world. No one or nobody could replace her. She is my life and everything. I thanked God for having a supportive, protective, and lovable mother. I really miss my mother and I hope she is always fine there in abroad. There are really many things that she done for me and that’s why she really deserves to be called a true hero.

"Wika ng Pagkakaisa"

Alam naman nating lahat na tuwing darating ang buwan ng Agosto ay ipinagdiriwang natin ang “Buwan ng Wika”. Kapag iisipin mo ito ano ang unang pumapasok sa iyong isipan kapag narinig mo ang salitang “wika”? ito ba ay mahalaga sa ating buhay? Ano ang magagawa nito sa ating pang-araw-araw na pamumuhay o ano ang layunin nito?

        Ang wika ay importante sa ating buhay. Ginagamit natin ito araw-araw dahil sa mga bagay na naibibigay nito sa atin. Ang wika ay sistema o grupo ng mga salita na ginagamit natin para maipahayag an gating mga damdamin at ideya sa isa’t isa. Sa pagpunta natin sa ibang lugar, marami tayong makakahalubilo na iba’t ibang tao at nakikipag-usap tayo sa kanila. Ang isang layunin mg wika ay ginagamit na komunikasyon upang makausap natin ang isa’t isa. Sa pagdiriwang ng “Buwan ng Wika” maraming tao ang nakilahok. Tulad sa aming paaralan, ang organisasyon ng Filipino ay gumawa o nagpatupad ng iba’t ibang mga paligsahan at mga programa na konektado sa ‘Buwan ng Wika”. Isa na rito ang Sabayang Pagbigkas, na tungol sa mga ginawa ng ating pambansang bayani na si Dr. Jose Rizal na siya ring nagsabi n adapt gamitin natin at mahalin an gating sariling wika.

        Ang wika ang daan upang magkakabuklod at magkaisa tayong lahat. Kaya dapat isabuhay at isaisip natin ang importansiya at layunin ng wika sa ating buhay at dapat gamitin natin ito hindi lamang sa ikakabuti ng iyong sarili pati narin sa ikakabuti ng lahat.

IMPROVEMENT

Finally, the first quarter for this school year was done. Well, as I went through it there are so many things remarked in my mind. These are the things that I will surely treasure in my life.

          In the ten subjects that we are studying, I am sure that I have learned many things that were very useful to me especially in my daily lives, like the things that I could apply in my real life. Especially in ICT, I learned more about the Internet and another I came to know another social website which is the Blog. I was able to post my different insights in the different topics that we had. In the back of it, there are still problems or challenges that I had been encountered that truly challenge me by facing and solving these things as a part of my daily life. Well, with these problems as a student there comes a time that I want to give up but I inspire myself that it’s only a challenge for me to pursue more and improve for the better.

          Moving on, I will do my best to study hard and improve my works as a student. I will apply all my learning that I had gained in the First Quarter for the next quarters to come.

Fifth SONA of PNOY

The Fifth SONA (State of the Nation Address) of our President Benigno “Noynoy” S. Aquino was held. He delivered his SONA at the Session Hal of the House of Representatives, Batasang Pambansa Complex, Quezon City on July 28, 2014. Through this he stated his excellency, works, projects, and many more.

          In the SONA of our president, one of the topics that he said caught my attention. It is about our Economics. He said that our Economics is continuously improving and rising. I think it is not fully improving and rising if we take a look of it. There are still many families that are starving and do not have their own house. He said that a large amount of Filipino have their own jobs. But, there are still many people have no job because of poverty and lack of education. He also said that the government today have a one word. Well, I don’t think it’s true. Maybe some of them but we all know that also some of them are selfish and they are corrupting the money that were paid by the people. However, I’m still agreed and approved by some of our president had said.

          I’m still very thankful to our President Aquino III in governing our country. So far, he had done many programs and projects that were helpful for everyone. I hope he will continue ruling our  country better with loyalty and honesty for the better future of our lives.

Nutrition is our Weapon

              In my high school life, here comes again the month of July which is the Nutrition Month celebration. Definitely, it is my last time to celebrate this in high school because I will be graduating soon. I really love joining in the Nutri-Jingle because it is composed of singing and dancing. Even though I’m not that good, I’m still happy and enjoying participating in this competition. Well, what do you think why we are celebrating this Nutrition Month?

             Nutrition Month is celebrated every year in the month of July. Nutrition plays a very important role in our lives, it could help to extend or decrease our life span. With our potential to live longer than ever before comes the urgent to monitor and adjust the amount and types of food that we ingest into our bodies. Proper nutrition in our early years will not only lead to a learned commitment but will also lead to a lifetime habit toward a healthy extended life. It is very important to us especially in our health. With proper nutrition, we may be able to prevent sickness, illness and we may be able to save ourselves and others during calamities. They are launching this Nutrition Month in order for us to know further about our health through the different events or activities held during this Nutrition Month. Nutritious foods are better in our body and more delicious to eat.

        However, the theme for this month is “Kalamidad Paghandaan, Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan.” Based on the  theme it is very important to end malnutrition for us to be always ready and alert in any calamities that we may encounter. Together we can face any calamities healthy, united, and interdependent.

               A pleasant day to you Sir! I am a senior student from Ilocos Sur National High School, and I would like to make an appeal regarding the issue of rightful treatment in relation to our Senior Citizens. As we all know, the elderly should be always given respect and importance especially that they already had served our country in their own way. They always have been shared some of their wisdom and knowledge for us to become a better person. the problem is that there is little or poor prioritization for Filipino Senior Citizens.

               Many problems and worries disturb the minds of our Filipino Senior Citizens. The sick senior citizens battle not only their sickness and ailments, but they're also with rising prices of basic goods and especially the prices of medicines. Even with their current senior citizen discount, they still cannot afford their basic necessities because most of then do not have constant source of income. most of then get money from their families who barely earn enough to support their own families. I request that there would be either the increase of discount on medicines and basic goods for senior citizens or give more benefits for them.
